MAMA (2012)
The logo that was used for EXO's debut in 2012. A hexagon being cut up by 'X' to create the abstract form of the alphabets EXO. Clean and impactful.
XOXO (2013)
Their first full-length album XOXO. They created a new design of EXO logo with the basic shapes of X and O.
Overdose (2014)
The mini album Overdose's logo is a hexagon-shaped maze, it corresponds with the title track concept of "uncontrollable feeling of falling in love"
Winter album(s)
Every time they release a winter album, they will incorporate this EXO logo that is shaped like a snowflake
Every year EXO would include cute additions to this basic logo
Exodus (2015)
My favorite logo is the one used in their 2nd full-length album Exodus, with the concept of 'escape'. In 2D, it's the EXO hexagon shape, it is also a cube when it's in 3D, the duality is incredible
EX'ACT (2016)
The cover of their 3rd full-length album EX'ACT, EXOACT3 forms a hexagon shape, with the arrows reading EX'ACT and EXO respectively. The logo resembles a chemistry formula
Lucky One & Monster (2016)
EX'ACT's title track Lucky One used a four-leaf clover that resembles good luck as EXO's logo.
The bones and a screw as seen in an X-ray was Monster's logo. They conveyed the "monster" concept in a sophisticated and high-class manner.
Lotto (2016)
The four-leaf clover logo is again used on the chip of the 3rd repackage album, it continues to depict the "good luck" concept.
EXO-CBX (2016)
Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chen debut as subunit EXO-CBX in 2016. Their subunit logo is a cube with EXO and CBX on each side. In 2D, the logo still shows the EXO hexagon.
This smiley face that is formed by the alphabets 'CBX' were widely spread as well
The War (2017)
The 1st logo concept is palm leaves which corresponds with the title track Ko Ko Bop's reggae concept. Palm leaves symbolizes victory. The logo has 9 leaves that represents the 9 members
The 2nd logo is bay laurel leaves. A crown that is made by branches of bay laurel trees are called 'laurel wreaths', which symbolizes glory. This logo represents EXO's glory and pride.
In conjunction with their 4th full-length album The War, they released 3 EXO logos that were visually centered around plants. The flower above is called Bird of Paradise. It's pretty but it would only bloom after 4-5 years. Coincidentally, EXO celebrated their 5th debut anniversary in 2017.
The Power of Music (2017)
Just like the Power MV, their 4th repackage album went for the comic concept. 9 strong arms formed the EXO hexagon
Don't Mess Up My Tempo (2018)
SM designed a bike track in the shape of 'EXO' for their Tempo album
To match the MV concept, their 5th album Tempo logo was inspired by a car dashboard. An 'X' split the dashboard into 3 sections, with the moving needle, it portrayed the EXO logo in abstract form. The needle points to '5', representing the 5th album. There are 9 dents on the dashboard, representing a complete group comeback with 9 members. At the same time the dashboard matched the 'Tempo' concept as well, a fascinating design.
In another teaser picture, the designers cleverly portrayed the 3 alphabets EXO with tyre marks
Love Shot (2018)
5th repackage album Love Shot's logo was inspired by diamonds. The top part of the diamond shows EXO hexagon, while the front view of it shows the alphabets EXO in heart-shaped
This logo also paid tribute to the 2013 XOXO album's logo
Obsession (2019)
This is EXO 6th full-length album Obsession's logo. The 2 opposing flags formed the abstract 'EXO' logo.
Don't Fight The Feeling (2021)
This is the newly released logo for EXO 2021 special album. The circular radar includes the 'EXO' alphabets and the blinking dots represents the 9 members. Their way of conveying the concept remains top level as always
- [WEIBO] EXO logo designs throughout the years
- EXO, a god-like presence
- There are also signs of combat on the flag poles of Obsession
- EXO logo's concept is "you can never guess what's the next one, but i can guarantee the next logo would still amaze you"
- Even if i study for 10 years, i don't think i would be able to join their planning team, their concept is so dope
- We have been together for almost 10 years, that's not easy
- SM concepts are the top in Hallyu
- I remembered the Exodus days where we were decoding the puzzles every day
- There is not one flaw in EXO's logo, we have to compliment them for that
- If we talk about concepts, it's still EXO
- I am amazed how they can make such amazing concepts that continues for so long, there are infinite possibilities to it, and i think this represents the group that has infinite possibilities as well
- I'm really curious about the original 12-member plan. I heard that they prepared a very complete and long term 12-member plan
- Do not compete with SM on concepts
- I am amazed every single time they have a comeback
